Parking Solution

With limited parking near hospital entrances, and with an expanding campus patients are often required to park far from their intended destination. This can be especially inconvenient for the ill, elderly, and injured patients that often visit the hospital. A park and ride solution will help patients and visitors quickly and easily reach their destinations.

Solution:

• Ride request system in a parking kiosk will be installed in the parking lot to protect hospital guests from the weather and allow them to communicate with the shuttle drivers.
• A helpful volunteer driver will team will be trained to efficiently and professionally transport patients and visitors in an environmentally friendly electric golf cart with plenty of space for the entire family
• The friendly volunteer will be able to drop the visitor off directly at the appropriate entrance for their destination, e.g., Emergency Department, Front Entrance, or the medical office building.
• The service will help patients arrive to their appointments on time and without frustration
