On Sunday, September 18th, 2016, Century 21 Hometown Realty hosted a Celebrity Cake Auction at the Loomis Barn in Arroyo Grande. Guests had the opportunity to bid on cakes provided by local celebrities. Over $25,000 was raised at the event benefitting the Legacy Campaign at Arroyo Grande Community Hospital.
Local celebrities, including politicians Lynn Compton, Jordan Cunningham, Mike and Kristen Barneich, and Katcho Achadjian; local mayors John Shoals of Grover Beach, Jim Hill of Arroyo Grande, and Shelly Higginbotham of Pismo Beach; doctors Randall Safarik, Howard Hayashi, Gary Donath, and Harley Boos; and local business owners, CEOs, citizens and philanthropists Jack Hardy, Carrol and Joan Pruett, Debbie Peterson, Sean Schuur, and Villa Infanto, baked or provided cakes that portrayed their personal character. Guests bid on the cakes a fun, competitive auction, followed by a silent auction with other prizes.
This fun-filled afternoon brought local decision-makers, doctors, business owners, and citizens together to support a great cause. The Foundation is grateful to Century 21 Hometown Realty for their continued support.
