Dignity Health Phillies Awards
We are pleased to share that for the third year in a row, the Dignity Health Central Coast Foundations have earned the honor as the Top Performing Philanthropic Service Area at the annual Dignity Health Philanthropy ‘Phillies’ Awards ceremony.
At the awards ceremony, foundations were recognized based on accomplishments from the previous fiscal year (July 1, 2016 – June 30, 2017). Having met and exceeded strict measures, Arroyo Grande Community Hospital Foundation, French Hospital Medical Center Foundation, Marian Regional Medical Center Foundation, and St. John’s Healthcare Foundation, were recognized for their philanthropic excellence by Dignity Health Philanthropy.
The Top Performing Service Area Award criteria is based on combined service area results in four categories: a combined cost per dollar raised of $0.30, transfers of approximately two times operating expenses, well-balanced fundraising programs, and a significant increase in fundraising revenue over the previous year. The Central Coast Service Area had a fundraising revenue of $15.9 million, a 20 percent increase from fiscal year 2016, $0.23 cost per dollar raised, $11.4 million in transfers to their hospitals, and a fundraising revenue per full-time employee of $864,000.
In addition to receiving the exceptional Top Performing Philanthropic Service Area Award, Arroyo Grande Community Hospital Foundation accepted the impressive Quality Improvement Award, bestowed upon the foundation with the most significant improvements, year over year. Their outstanding accomplishments were substantial, as they showed an 87% improvement in revenue from fiscal year 2016 to fiscal year 2017.
The Arroyo Grande Community Hospital Foundation is a vital source of support for an expansive array of health care programs and services. Many of which would not have been possible without the generous contributions of those who believe in our mission, therefore allowing our hospital to provide the communities we serve with unparalleled care.
