The Cypress Ridge Women’s Golf Club (CRWGC) holds an golf tournament at Cypress Ridge Golf Course to benefit the battle against breast cancer. The funds raised from donors have contributed to making this benefit one of the most successful in California, raising approximately $150,000 over the past ten years. Continuing this tradition, this year the women of CRWGC were proud to partner with the Arroyo Grande Community Hospital Foundation in establishing a fund to benefit the battle against breast cancer locally.
The annual golf tournament was held on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Cypress Ridge Golf Course in Arroyo Grande and raised $15,000. States Karen White, President of the Cypress Ridge Women’s Golf Club; “We decided we wanted to help women locally who are battling breast cancer. With the excellent program already in place with the Arroyo Grande Community Hospital Coastal Cancer Care and Diagnostic Center, it was an easy decision where the proceeds should go.”
“It is such an honor to have this amazing group of women donating to our local cancer fund," says Montisa Phelan Lopez, Executive Director of the AGCH Foundation. “There are so many people in our community that will benefit from these acts of generosity.”
