States Jessica Gruendler, AGCH Operating Room Director: “As we work to improve our mission related to delivering high quality care, we also strive to bring advanced technology to our community. Most of these advancements are to apply minimally invasive techniques for procedures that previously required extensive surgical incisions.”

Arroyo Grande Community Hospital recently acquired an operating table that provides improvement in the use of x-ray technology for all surgical specialties and provides the flexibility to be used for complicated spine cases. Minimally invasive joint procedures with smaller incisions and reduced recovery time are currently available however, the future of joint replacements at AGCH and in the medical field in general, will be focused on improving the accuracy of implant placement and bone preservation to return patients to functional activities sooner.
